MeeHoon Kueh aka Pan Mee

Sudden craving of homemade meehoon kueh got me getting all the necessary stuff. Kneaded the dough the night before and my mum helped me to cook the rest of the ingredients while I was at work.

We had this for dinner yesterday and it's so so yummy!!

Nature's Work

My parent's ex-neighbour planted a tree and it grew and bore fruits. The house has been vacant for quite sometime and yesterday went I was there, the tree has been cut down by the new buyer who will be moving in soon.

Nothing spectacular about this tree but take a look at this. The tree grows between the fencing!!

Closer look here and you can see how the tree manipulated itself around the fence.

And this is the fruit the tree bears. Dont know the name but eaten it before as pickled fruit.

Belated Father's Day Dinner

We had a belated Father's Day dinner last Saturday as the week before we attended and celebrated Uncle Wim and Aunty's Pat Wedding Anniversary. Our venue this time is in Rawang.

Ordered the winter melon soup which cost RM25 which I found quite costly (they have other prices according to the size of the melon). Very tasty and will try making it at home one fine day. Other dishes we had were fried cabbage, fried spinach, claypot salted fish pork, claypot spare ribs with yam, signature steam fish and a whole smoked duck (RM50).

This is the smoked duck which I like very much due to its smokiness :) The meat is tough but you just need to chew on it slowly to enjoy and taste the smoke in it!

No other pics except for the foodie as I was real tired after the day's outing in MV. Not to mention the DSC started to act up which explained the fuzzy pics.

This was just a simple dinner for the Grandfather and Fathers that night.

Hot on the Trail of Transformers

Last Sat saw 3 of us hot on the trail of Transformers in Mid Valley Megamall. We were chasing after Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee.

Cavan waited one whole week for this and glad to say he's happy to have met them. In fact, he got overly excited and could not stop talking about Prime and Bee. Especially so on Prime coz he waved at him and Cavan said Prime is very friendly. Even acted the way they pose at home!

Upon reaching MV, found out that their 1st appearance is at Metrojaya. Lucky for us, Metro did not have much crowd thus is was really easy to take pictures with both Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee. It was a different issue in Toy R Us tho and we were glad we went to Metro to try catching them instead of lingering at Toy R Us till the scheduled appearance time, which by then was packed with adults and children alike.

Nevertheless, children tend to be able to weave their way in a crowded place and Cavan again took pictures with Prime and Bee. He just couldnt get enough of them. 1st want to take pictures, 2nd want to shake hand, 3rd want to talk to them, 4th want to see them and the list goes on.

** I think both Prime and Bee can recognise us 3 all the way from Metro to Toy R Us!! ish-ish hahaha...

So excited was he that he got daddy to pose as Bumble Bee and himself as Optimus Prime (wearing his Ultraman masks) at home! hehehe...
